Double Decker Bus Tours of Gatlinburg

The new Double Decker Bus Tour of Gatlinburg offer visitors a fun–filled trip that loops up to Sevierville and back down to Gatlinburg. If you're looking for a memorable experience on your vacation, this European style tour on a bus straight from the UK delivers just that!

Led by a knowledgeable guide, seated on the right for optimal authenticity, you'll experience 14 stops along the way. These include some of the top tourist destinations in the area, including Ober Gatlinburg, a popular ski resort, the Gatlinburg Convention Center, and Rowdy Bear Gatlinburg, an amusement park with fun for all ages.

The Observation Tower at Anakeesta

The Observation Tower, coming in the Spring of 2020, is the latest expansion to Anakeesta. This amazing location will be the tallest point of Gatlinburg and was reportedly designed to look like a flower blooming up from the ground. If you're looking to get some great photos on your vacation, this new area attraction sounds like the perfect place to snap a picture.

With 360–panoramic views, this tower will offer visitors a birds eye view of Gatlinburg and the surrounding area, including the breathtaking mountain backdrop around Anakeesta. If you're heading to Gatlinburg in 2020, make sure to investigate this new addition to the Downtown.

It's also worth noting that Anakeesta has been busy in the last year, adding a handful of other great attractions. Among them is the Vista Garden Walk, which was expanded in 2019 to include an interactive play area for kids, art installations, and shaded bench swings. Also fairly new is the Smokehouse and Brewery Restaurant, which will serve up BBQ favorites, craft beer, and more.

 

Ruby Sunshine is Coming to Gatlinburg

If you're a big fan of New Orleans–style food, you'll be excited to learn that Ruby Sunshine is coming to Gatlinburg! Founded by the owners of the Ruby Slipper Café, a business opened after Katrina in New Orleans with the goal of bringing the community together. Ruby Sunshine boasts a menu which includes many of the staples that made the Ruby Slipper Café so famous.

Now Gatlinburg and visitors from all over the world can look forward to experiencing authentic, New Orleans style cuisine. Ruby Sunshine pride themselves on incorporating fresh, local ingredients in their food so when you eat there, you'll also be supporting other local businesses. The menu includes amazing breakfast options like French Toast, Bananas Foster Pain Perdu and BBQ Shrimp & Grits. You'll also have a choice of morning cocktails like mimosas, the Morning Margarita, or their award–winning Bloody Mary.

Ruby Sunshine will be opening just across from the Gatlinburg SkyLift Park in early 2020. So keep an eye out for updates and look forward to enjoying a delicious, New Orleans–style breakfast once the doors open.

 

Little Bear Winery in Gatlinburg

While the Little Bear Winery opened last year, its tremendous success makes it worth mentioning as a new attraction in the area. Located downtown, just across from The Village, this winery offers a wide array of excellent choices, from dry reds, sweet, fruit wines, crisp, white flavors, and much more.

Visitors will have the opportunity to relax in a warm, rustic setting and enjoy sampling up to 4 wines for free. The staff at Little Bear have already gained a reputation for their extensive knowledge and excellent service, so if you're a wine novice, this is the place for you!

Little Bear is also part of the Rocky Top Wine Trail located in the Smoky Mountain area. So if you're a wine connoisseur, grab your friends and plan a day out visiting all 5 locations along the way.
